Study and Tuition
International students can study at BIR’s English Learning
Program (ELP) for any period of time from
3 months to more than 2 years improving their English comprehension, as well as English oral and
written communication skills. Students can take classes to prepare for
TOEFEL and IELTS exams.
International students can enroll in one of the two programs
of study at BIR.
Flexible Schedule
BIR offers evening, morning and weekend class schedules insuring that each student can pick the
time most convenient for them. BIR also offers classes at its
North-Side and Downtown campuses which
have great accessibility due to ample parking and public transportation options.
International Campus
Today, more than 700 international students from 50+ countries study at BIR. Great education,
friendly customer service, affordable tuition, as well as a diverse student body make BIR a school
of choice for discerning international students. BIR’s friendly and resourceful multilingual staff
and counselors help guide students through the enrollment process and their academic experience.
We accept various types of international students including: students from abroad, students already
in the US who would like to change their visa status, and students attending another US institution

HomeStay
 In addition to BIR's academic offerings, the Homestay Program is a great way to learn English and
American culture outside of the classroom. The Homestay Program matches students with a family in
Chicago and the family provides the student with two meals per day and a warm, comfortable place to
stay. But the experience goes far beyond that. Living with an American family provides the student
with opportunities to explore Chicago, learn aspects of American life that are not covered in the
